The central mission of Multicultural Health and
Prevention Care Center (MHPCC) is to provide quality,
cost effective, and accessible health care and
services for low in-come families and individuals.

health promotion and education, health screening, and
diagnosis.
Multicultural Health and Prevention Care Center
(MHPCC)
The Free Vietnamese Youth Foundation is pleased to
announce the opening of Multicultural Health and
Prevention Care Center (MHPCC) in the city of Garden
Grove, California, in a joint effort to provide health
services to the community. MHPCC is a non-profit
health care center, providing public health care and
services to low-income familes and individuals. The
formation of MHPCC was made possible from the
collaboration of many passionate volunteer groups,
which include the Vietnamese Community of Southern
County, Local Community Health Services, Volunteer
Organizations, Healthcare groups, Doctors,
Pharmacists, Dentists, and Nurses. MHPCC primary goal
is to provide quality and cost effective services for
the growing health care needs in the communities.
General Health Component
- Disease preventing, Health educational and
promotional classes
- Free general blood testing: Blood tests are
necessary diagnostic tools to detect most common and
special health abnormalities but are usually expensive
and unaffordable to low-income families and
individuals. Available immediately, MHPCC provides
free general blood work prescribed by patients'
physicians. Same service is also offered to people who
do not have access to a private medical provider but
desire to monitor their health.
- Free Blood Screening for some special Health
Problems: Sponsored by different laboratories and
firms, MHPCC now provides free hepatitis A, B, C
screening to all people especially South-East Asian.
In the near future, we can expand screening to other
disease. Once diagnosed, individuals can further
choose to participate in researches studying for
cures.
- Hepatitis Education and Support Group: Once
diagnosed, individuals and their family's exercise,
psychological support, and preparation for healthy
grievance and acceptance of an imminent death of
family member.
- Referrals: For the low-income population, some
pre-arrangement and free dental or health services are
made possible by philanthropist dentists or
physicians.
