Spirit of Volunteerism Awards 2004
"The Volunteer Center Orange County and The Orange County Register are pleased to announce the 2004 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards. Created in 1975 for the purpose of honoring Orange County's most valued volunteers, the event has succeeded in establishing a non-competitive recognition platform to promote and preserve the spirit of volunteerism.

This 29-year tradition - designates a special time to recognize and celebrate the tremendous efforts of volunteers. Since its inception, presidents, mayors, and other officials have signed proclamations and have participated in this highly visible, nationwide initiative. Volunteer Centers, nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, hospitals, faith-based organizations, and schools utilize National Volunteer Week to highlight their own volunteers and support thousands of service projects in the community."

This year, the Spirit of Volunteerism Awards 2004 is proud to present Mr. Quang Nguyen as the volunteer honoree of the year for the Vietnamese Youth Foundation (Tong Doan Thanh Nien VN).

Quang Nguyen has been actively involved with the community for the past 5 years. Quang is a conscientious volunteer who has a positive attitude. He has been an enthusiastic and valuable member of our organization. His dedication, competitive spirit and leadership abilities are highly respected by his peers.
