Quote of the Day
"It
is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!"
- Emiliano Zapata
Poem of the Day
I Still Call Vietnam Home
Far beyond the blue
ocean,
Where the shore line run miles along the coast.
With waves of rice run deep into the horizon,
Is my homeland, Vietnam as I call it.
And when the hurricane
came,
It brought along a Red Devil.
Who destroyed the temple where the monks sit,
Each day to teach of Buddha’s heart.
The Red Devil also
toppled the Church,
And the yard where I played and mingled.
Now is in ruin, the grasses grow tall,
The Devil had killed the priest who daily talked of Jesus’ love.
And the Red Devil took my
homeland,
The land that all the great kings and heroes of the pass.
Have shed blood,
And turned it into a great Hell.
It has been long since I
have left,
Even memories begin to grow old.
But I will never forget the place,
Deep in my heart, I still call Vietnam home.
