World Within
In a field of verdant shades,
in a place no path invades,
A dandelion and a rose
Have endured amidst the blades.
The composite head persists
In a place where man exists.
Two flowers share a single space
Only one is heaven kissed.
While the stems pursue the light,
Casting shadow, proving might,
The dark unveils the hidden place
And the Shadow of the night.
Yes, entangled roots run deep
To a place where secrets keep.
And truly the Unconscious knows
How to separate and reap.
In a field of verdant shades,
in a place no path evades,
The pair assumes a steadfast pose
Till the light completely fades.
